Chalvedon Boys Football Club were awarded the FA Standard Club Charter award in October 2003. Our charter was successfully reviewed in November 2006 and now currently runs until November 2009.
The Standard Club Charter award is a major boost for the Club as it signifies our commitment to provide FA qualified coaching to our members in a safe and friendly environment.
In order to for us attain this accolade, we have had to ensure that we have all of the necessary documentation in place. We have constructed, and still maintain, documents such as our club constitution and codes of conduct for managers, players and parents.
We have also ensured that all of our managers and coaches have been police checked and have completed the FA Level1 coaching course. This course includes separate modules which not only consists of teaching youth football skills, but also entails the completion of a child protection workshop, emergency aid and the ability to diagnose overuse injuries.
We have appointed a Child Welfare Officer (CWO) within the club. Mia Radley currently holds this role within the club committee, and she can be contacted on (01268) 751769. Alternatively, you may email Mia at
During the 2006/7 season we completed CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checks on all team managers and assistants. We have also developed our own Child Welfare Policy document which will be issued to all members at the start of the 2007/8 season onwards.
